Impact Taekwondo

Impact Taekwondo is committed to building relationships that will last. While Taekwondo develops useful self-defence skills it also creates a tight-knit community that promotes learning, friendships, and personal growth. Our aim is to use Taekwondo to draw students into relationships with people they may not have known and also to promote Christian virtues. The core tenets of Taekwondo are: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indominable Spirit. When defined biblically these tenets provide a solid foundation for Christian living and community.

About Impact TaeKwonDo:

We have three primary goals: build relationships, train hard, have fun. Our style of Taekwondo stems from a system called Chung Do Kwan or “School of the Blue Wave.” While this style is our base, we have modernized our particular program to reflect a kickboxing formula. We have retained enough of the tradition that we structurally resemble a traditional school, but we are aware of the constantly changing world of martial arts.

Rather than focusing on the Olympic sport style of Taekwondo you will learn how to apply your knowledge in a practical way. Our goal is to personalize your training while still maintaining the traditional structure of the art. Are you interested in becoming a combat sports competitor? Or maybe self defense is your primary goal. What about just having fun? We will work with your goals so that you get the best experience possible.

We also have an anti-bullying program that is designed to teach children and teens to be mentally and physically Hard2Hurt. This eight-week program focuses on applying techniques that will keep both your child and their bully as safe as possible. We aim to work—to the best of everyone’s ability—within the bounds of the “zero tolerance” policies that many schools have in place today. Finally, in this program we aim to teach students about human value so that they have the confidence to treat themselves and any potential bullies with dignity and respect.

If you choose to come and try one of our classes, dress in comfortable clothing and bring water! Equipment such as: uniforms, boxing gloves, and shin guards are not required immediately in our training which gives you the ability to invest later on in your training.
