Miss Maia

Miss Maia started dancing at the age of 2, in a small town. At 6 years old, she made the transition to a larger studio in Moose Jaw and became a competitive student for the next 11 years. Maia completed her grade 8 awards and Advanced 1 vocational examinations through the Royal Academy of Dance, along with many other Canadian Dance Teacher Association ballet, jazz and tap examinations.

She joined Born to Be and realized that there was a real passion for sharing the art with others, which led her to want to be a teacher. Miss Maia has been teaching dance for 5 years now and is a registered Royal Academy of Dance and ADAPT teacher. During this time Miss Maia has also accomplished Level 1 training in Progressive Ballet Technique and Module 1 training in Acrobatic Arts. Never one to sit still, Miss Maia will continue to upgrade and improve her dance teaching education through multiple studies.

Born to Be has been a huge stepping stone in Miss Maia’s life and she is forever grateful for the encouragement and support provided by the director and fellow instructors.
